Security audits and risk assessments that tell you what to fix first
Most businesses don’t know how exposed they are until an attacker, an auditor, or an insurance questionnaire tells them. We assess your environment the way an adversary would see it, then translate every finding into business risk and a remediation plan you can actually execute.
What we assess
Every assessment is scoped to your business, but the strongest ones look beyond firewalls and servers to the people and processes that attackers actually exploit.
- Identity, MFA, and privileged access
- Endpoint protection and patch posture
- Network architecture and segmentation
- Cloud and Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace configuration
- Backups, recovery, and business continuity
- Vendor and third-party access
- Policies, offboarding, and security awareness
- Incident response readiness
Mapped to frameworks that matter
We align findings to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 and CIS Critical Security Controls, and cross-reference HIPAA, PCI DSS, FTC Safeguards, or NIST 800-171 when they apply. That means one assessment can serve your security program, your compliance obligations, and your cyber insurance renewal.
Built for decisions, not shelfware
You get a working session, not just a PDF. We walk leadership through the top risks, explain trade-offs in plain language, and help your team or ours start closing gaps immediately.

Security Audits & Risk Assessments: common questions
Don’t see your question? Ask our security team directly.
What’s the difference between a security audit and a risk assessment?
An audit checks your controls against a defined standard and asks “is this in place?” A risk assessment asks “what could go wrong, how likely is it, and how bad would it be?” Most growing businesses benefit from a combined engagement: we verify controls against a framework and rank the gaps by real business risk.
How long does a cybersecurity risk assessment take?
For a typical small or mid-sized organization, two to four weeks from kickoff to final readout, depending on the number of locations, cloud environments, and how quickly we can get access and interviews scheduled.
Will this help with our cyber insurance application?
Yes. Underwriters commonly ask about MFA, endpoint detection and response, backups, privileged access, and incident response planning. Our assessment documents where you stand on each and what to fix before renewal.
How often should we have a security assessment?
At least annually, and after major changes such as a merger, a cloud migration, a new application launch, or a security incident. Many regulations and customer contracts also expect an annual risk assessment.
Often paired with
Penetration Testing
Skilled, manual testing of your networks, applications, APIs, and cloud to prove what an attacker could really do.
vCISO & Managed Security
Executive security leadership and ongoing program management without the cost of a full-time CISO.
Ransomware Readiness & Disaster Recovery
Immutable backups, tested recovery, tabletop exercises, and continuity plans so an attack doesn’t take the business down.
