SOC 2 readiness that gets you audit-ready faster
Enterprise buyers increasingly won’t sign without a SOC 2 report. We help you scope the right Trust Services Criteria, implement practical controls, and assemble the evidence your auditor will ask for — so the audit confirms a program that already works.
Readiness engagement
From first gap analysis to audit day:
- Scoping of systems and Trust Services Criteria
- Gap analysis against the SOC 2 criteria
- Policies and procedures written for how you actually operate
- Technical control implementation: access, logging, change management, vendor risk
- Penetration testing and risk assessment evidence
- Compliance automation platform setup and integration
- Auditor selection support and readiness review
Type 1 or Type 2?
A Type 1 report evaluates the design of your controls at a point in time; a Type 2 report tests whether they operated effectively over a period, commonly three to twelve months. Many companies start with Type 1 to unblock sales while their Type 2 observation window runs.
A note on independence: we prepare you for compliance and strengthen the controls behind it. We are not a law firm, CPA firm, QSA, or C3PAO, and we don’t issue certifications or attestation reports — we’re glad to work alongside the counsel and assessors who do.
Can SwiftSecure perform our SOC 2 audit?
No. SOC 2 reports can only be issued by licensed CPA firms under AICPA attestation standards. We are your readiness partner, preparing you for the audit, and we can recommend and work alongside independent CPA firms.
Is there such a thing as “SOC 2 certified”?
Not technically. SOC 2 is an attestation report, not a certification. Companies receive a SOC 2 report from a CPA firm describing their controls and, for Type 2, how effectively they operated.
How long does SOC 2 readiness take?
For a well-organized startup, readiness commonly takes a few months. Timelines depend on your current maturity, the criteria in scope, and how quickly controls can be implemented.
